Great piece of equipment. I wired an inlet directly to my panel and and connected the generator via a 25 foot cord. easily keeps my refrigerator, freezer nd other critical appliances running during our evermore frequent So Cal Edison power safety outages.

Used this to charge my dead motorcycle battery. Worked quick and as intended. Very pleased

I decided that I needed a generator and did a lot of research. I ended up with the Yamaha EF6300 and so far am very pleased. For me, it was the perfect blend of quality, price and features. Purchasing it from National Supply was also a snap, the best part was having the heavy 200 lb. pallet wheeled right into my garage. I really didn’t trust the freight store brand, I didn’t want to worry about it down the road and be dealing with longevity issues possibly at a time when I needed it most. Yamaha has been making products for ever.
My only complaint is that I wished that two of the front wheels swiveled, which would make it easier to turn, but I plan on placing it in a cart to alleviate that.
Also getting the battery out to fill it with electrolyte was a bit of a challenge (I had to loosen the black plastic surround to get an additional 1/4” movement to allow it to come out, thankfully I had the right size Torx bit).

I had my 2400 Yamaha inverter for 25 years with almost zero issues, starts first pull in brutal cold weather conditions, so I am sold on the product! It still runs great, but leaking some oil and it was time to upgrade. The new 2200 sounds great, a little lighter, and has the 30 Amp plug. Couple items I did notice and I'm not sure why it was changed, you now need to pull the back panel to check oil, they eliminated the the access cover. Second, the fuel filler cap no longer has a chain on it, no big deal until the cap falls in the snow and now your cleaning it. I do like the tray surrounding the fuel cap that diverts any spilled fuel away and off the unit. Hope to get another 25 out of this one, if I make it that long!
